Methodological foundations and responsible use
ONE is being developed in dialogue with research assessment, research intelligence, and AI infrastructure communities. These engagements help test the relevance of the concept, expose methodological assumptions to external scrutiny, and identify where further validation is needed.
Responsible use
Evidence for interpretation, not automatic judgement
ONE structures contextual research evidence through cohorts, indicators, dimensions, governance signals, and reusable profile data. These signals are designed to support interpretation, reporting, discovery, and responsible assessment workflows.
ONE should not be used as a standalone ranking, hiring decision tool, funding decision tool, safety assessment, operational clearance system, or automated judgement of researcher quality.
Final decisions require human review, local context, qualitative evidence, and explicit governance.

Careful interpretation of engagement signals
Public references to workshops, invitations, papers, or working-group participation should be treated as engagement signals only. They do not imply endorsement by external organizations unless that endorsement has been explicitly granted.
